BRIG O'PERTH - Blair Athol 2010 Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 11 Year Old - Finished in an Antique Sherry Wine - Cask of "Vino de Color" # 3078 - 54.7%

‘Vino de Color’ is one of the oldest Sherry Wines of Spain and this cask –around 150 years old – is believed to
be one of the few remaining to have contained the highly concentrated syrupy, dark, rich unfermented Pedro
Ximinez grape juice and Dark Sherry mix. After rinsing the cask with water, we filled it for a finishing period of 3 months.

Colour: Deep and rich mahogany.

Nose: Charred edges of Christmas cake. Espresso. Raisins. Treacle sponge. Liquorice and black grape skins.

Palate: Black Tartarian cherries, treacle, syrup, coffee liqueur, fine old Cognac, bitter dark chocolate.

Finish: Treacle brittle, toasted hazelnuts, ::rum soaked raisins.
