Abernyte Stark Lager

Nestled in the hills above the Carse of Gowrie in East Perthshire, the Abernyte Brewery came about after a conversation over a stock fence about what good beer should be.

The brewers Donnie and Ian source the finest range of malts and hops and use modern German brewing methods to produce a range of continental style beers and ales with a twist. The water is drawn from a spring at the foot of the King’s Seat, the tallest hill in the Sidlaws.

No filtration or fining is used, just the application of cold tank maturation, leaving the flavour of the beer intact.

Using similar ingredients to the Listening Post Pilsner, this is a stronger more gutsy lager, pale straw in colour with a more bitter bite.
