We have stocked the wonderful Katy Rodgers Dairy products for a long time now, and we're huge fans of their thick, creamy yoghurts and delicious creme fraiche.
The products are all made on Knockraich farm, which has been owned and managed by the Rodger family since 1955. Knockraich is located in the beautiful Endrick Valley between the Trossachs and the Campsie Fells. At their heart the Rodger family are dairy farmers but in recent generations they have built a fantastic business around enhancing their farm and rural life.
They milk a small herd of around 60 British Friesian cattle which are all born and bred on the farm. The cattle are grazed outdoors throughout the summer and the milk produced goes directly in to the Katy Rodger’s dairy products we love so much.
The milk is all pasteurised but also non-homogenised. This means that the cream will settle out to the top of your milk which is great for coffee or in your porridge.
In many cases it is also possible to be enjoyed by those suffering with dairy intolerances as the milk retains its natural cell structure which is great for our body to process all the goodness. Natural whole milk is full of flavour and goodness..
The Rodger family believe in keeping good products simple and do not use any artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners in any of their produce.
The farm is Red Tractor Assured which lets you know the food is traceable, safe to eat and has been produced responsibly. Red Tractor standards cover animal welfare, food safety, traceability and environmental protection
They are multiple award-winners in the Guild of Fine Foods Great Taste Awards.
