We currently have the following roles available (as at 7th May 2024):

Part Time Deli Assistant

We require a Deli Sales Assistant for an immediate start. This job is two days per week as a minimum but there will be the opportunity of additional hours. Working Saturdays will be required.

Part Time: 2-3 days per week (15-22.5 hours) with additional hours to cover holidays, with more becoming available in the run up to Christmas.

Days: Saturdays plus one or two days during the week - we can be flexible with which days you work!

Working on the shop floor, this is the perfect role for a friendly, outgoing person who is committed to providing excellent customer service, has a genuine interest in quality food and drink and a willingness to learn. We need someone who can work quickly and efficiently without getting flustered during busy times but is equally comfortable filling shelves and cleaning during quieter spells.

You should be able to meet the physical demands of the position while providing customers with the best possible experience. You will also need to be capable of using of a computerised till. Training will be given but it is essential that you are generally comfortable with the use of computerised equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing responsive, exceptional service to customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.
  • Slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats, cheeses and other deli goods.
  • Making coffees
  • Updating displays, filling shelves and maintaining other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
  • Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment and floors, and removing rubbish.
  • Handling cash and use of a computerised till and card terminal.
  • Dealing with deliveries which does involve heavy lifting and stairs.
  • Following all food safety procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.
