This Sauternes is pale gold in colour with aromas of apricot, peach, honey and floral nuances. It is medium to full bodied on the palate with a creamy texture and a refreshing acidity which perfectly balances the sweetness.::::Jean-Christophe Barbe studied at the University of Bordeaux and did his thesis on noble rot, the botrytis that makes Sauternes so special. Today, he instructs the youth of Bordeaux in winemaking while running the family property.
