Staff Pick Autumn Mixed Case Wine

Out of Stock

A case of 12 bottles (2 of each) that represents great value.  Packed with easy drinking, fruit-filled wines. Le Petit Oiseau, Blanc, IGP Cotes de Gasgogne, 2018: A delightful crisp, dry white from the beautiful Gascony region of South West France.  Produced from perfectly ripe Colombard grapes, the wine is full of green apple and zesty citrus flavours. Ochagavia, 1851 Reserve, Sauvignon Blanc, 2018: 1851 honours the founding year of Viña Ochagavia. This Reserve line offers a variety of fresh white and red aged wines of the most prestigious valleys from the "Valle Central" zone. Quality wines that express the story of the country and the legacy of its founder. Fresh, with balanced acidity, fruity and menthol notes, good structure and a persistent finish with smooth spiciness at the end. Zuri, Rioja, Blanco, Luberri, 2019: A small family winery based in the Rioja Alavesa region. Florentino Martínez Monje started the business and has steadily grown it over the last 30+ years. His daughters Laura and Miren now play a crucial role in continuing his pioneering work. Zuri is made from 100% Viura grapes, no oak, clean, dry refreshing with hints of apple and white flower aromas. Domaine Montrose, Merlot, IGP Cotes de Thongue, 2018: A great example of a modern and fruit forward style Merlot that makes the most of this variety’s supple tannins and generous fruit flavours. Poggio Anima, Primitivo, Lilith, Salento IGP, 2018: Opaque ruby.  Smoked meat, dried cherry, cracked pepper and cassis on the deeply scented nose.  Medium to full-bodied with berry cobbler flavours showing a liqueur-like intensity.  Smoke and cassis notes carry through to the dusty tannic finish.  Organic and single vineyard. Chateau Meaume, Bordeaux Superieur, 2016: Chateau Meaume use traditional agricultural methods in favour of chemical fertilisers. The Chateau has its own herd of cattle, which provides a constant supply of organic matter for the vineyards… The wines are the result of traditional farming, modern technology and a lot of hard work and passion. Typically produced from 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wines are full of character and can be enjoyed from a relatively early age.
